Session Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refund Policy

1. Definitions

  • 1.1. "Platform" means the RishtaCare website and any associated applications or digital interfaces.
  • 1.2. "Counsellor" means a counselling professional affiliated with the Platform.
  • 1.3. "Client" means any individual or couple who books a Session.
  • 1.4. "Session" means a scheduled counselling appointment.
  • 1.5. "Single Session" means a one-time, stand-alone Session.
  • 1.6. "Package" means a bundle of two or more Sessions purchased together.

2. Acceptance of Policy

2.1. By booking any Session or Package, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Policy.

2.2. This Policy forms an integral part of the terms governing the Client’s use of the Platform.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling – Single Sessions

  • 3.1. Requests must be made through specified communication channels (email, chat, or phone).
  • 3.2. Requests received at least twenty-four (24) hours prior allow rescheduling without additional charge.
  • 3.3. Single Sessions are not eligible for monetary refund; the sole remedy is rescheduling.
  • 3.4. Requests made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the start time may result in the Session being treated as completed.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling – Package Sessions

  • 4.1. Packages are offered at preferential pricing based on the utilisation of all sessions.
  • 4.2. Packages are strictly non-refundable once purchase is confirmed.
  • 4.3. Individual Sessions within a Package may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
  • 4.4. Failure to attend or late rescheduling requests (less than 24h) may result in the Session being deemed utilised.

5. Missed Sessions and No-Shows

5.1. A “No-Show” occurs when a Client does not join the Session within the stipulated time without prior notice.

5.2. In the event of a No-Show, the Session is treated as completed. No refund or credit will be provided.

6. Late Arrival

6.1. Clients are expected to join at the scheduled start time.

6.2. Late arrival will not extend the originally scheduled end time.

6.3. Excessive delay may be treated as a No-Show at the Counsellor's discretion.

7. Cancellations by the Platform

7.1. If the Platform or Counsellor cancels, the Client will be offered a rescheduled session or a credit/refund at the Platform's discretion.

8. Technical Issues

8.1. Clients are responsible for their own stable internet and functional devices.

8.2. Disruptions due to Client-side technical issues may lead to the session being treated as completed.

9. Amendments

9.1. The Platform reserves the right to update this Policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
